A seminar to promote community involvement in archaeology is taking place in Sligo this month.
The event is aimed at anyone who has an interest in local heritage and history such as community and heritage groups and ‘Tidy Towns’ committees.
The initiative is lead by the Sligo Community Archaeology Project and will take place at 6.45pm on Thursday March 14th at the Sligo Park Hotel.
Archaeologist Tamlyn McHugh explains what the project entails.
