Investment of 13.7 million announced for IT Sligo



Capital investment of 13.7 million euro has been announced for IT Sligo.

The funding will go towards significant building upgrades at the third level facility, which has ambitions to become a technological university.

Today’s announcement – which is part of the government’s Project Ireland 2040 plan for higher education – is part of a broader programme focused on essential campus upgrades and refurbishments.

President of IT Sligo Brendan McCormack says he hopes the funding will assist with plans to increase of the number of students in the institute to 10,000.
