Workshops aimed at creating a network of local people promoting tourism are being run by Fáilte Ireland.
The first was on Tuesday this week with another coming up on the 11th of June in the Glasshouse Hotel, Sligo.
Sligo has seen a large increase in the number of visitors to the region and it’s hoped this will continue with more local people getting involved in helping visitors to the area.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Senior Travel Advisor with Fáilte Ireland, Aoife McElroy says the workshops hope to create a ‘local network of local people with local information.’
