Campaign for wheelchair accessible bus gains almost 4,000 signatures

A large number of people have signed a petition calling for more wheelchair accessible bus routes.

A campaign was started by Donegal woman Victoria Matthews after discovering she can’t get to ITSligo as the Bus Eireann Ballyshannon to Sligo route does not have wheelchair access.

Speaking on OceanFMs North West Today last month, (CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW), she says she never has an issue when in Dublin.

Victoria says the problem is common in many rural parts of Ireland and she’s already collected nearly 4,000 signatures on a petition calling for change.
