PNA members in two-day ambulance strike



About 600 ambulance personnel from the Psychiatric Nurses Association are starting a two-day strike.

It will last from from 7am to 5pm today and tomorrow.

In the north west, today’s action involves about 240 staff; they include paramedics as well as emergency medical technicians.

They are members of the National Ambulance Service Representative Association, which is part of the Psychiatric Nurses Association.

Strikes by the group took place previously on January 22nd and February 15th.

Advanced Paramedic in Killybegs and secretary of the North West NASRA branch Christina Martin, has been telling Ocean FM News what the dispute is about.
