Rooskey hotel earmarked for asylum seekers attacked for second time

A hotel in Leitrim that is-marked to become a reception centre for asylum seekers has been attacked for the second time in less than five weeks.

Last night, it’s believed there was an attempt to start a fire in the Shannon Key West hotel in Rooskey.

Fire services arrived on the scene and no serious damage was caused.

Garda Superintendent Kevin English says there were three members of staff in the building at the time.
