Sligo County Council is to call on the government to end the Direct Provision system for asylum seekers.
It’s after a proposal from Independent Socialist Councillor Declan Bree who described the system, as ‘inhumane.’
He says hundred of children born in Direct Provision centres have known no other type of accommodation.
