A Leitrim Councillor has called on Leitrim County Council to erect signage which includes the message “Welcome to County Leitrim the homestead of Sean Mac Diarmada”.
The Signs which would be located at various entry points to the county has been requested by Manorhamilton Councillor Felim Gurn.
The independent Councillor says Sean Mac Diarmada is one of the most significant figures in the history of Leitrim and should be honoured in an appropriate fashion.
