EJ Sligo All-Stars impressive form in recent weeks was rewarded with the men’s team collecting Basketball Ireland’s Player & Coach of the Month awards for December.
American recruit Zack Yonda (pictured) was, again, the team’s top scorer with 26 points last Saturday night as the All-Stars came from behind in the closing quarter to edge past the Dublin Lions and extended their winning run to five consecutive matches.
Head coach Carlos Diaz Rodriguez also collected the Coach of the Month award following a stunning December for the All-Stars, which sees them up to third place in the Northern Conference at the half-way stage of the season – and in firm contention for a play-off place.
