Belcoo’s Brendan Dolan reaches quarter-finals of World Darts Championships

Fermanagh native Brendan Dolan reached the quarter-finals of the PDC World Darts Championship for the first time in his career on Friday afternoon, when he beat Dutchman Benito Van De Pas by four sets to one in their last 16 match.

It was an impressive display by Dolan who raced into a three sets to nil advantage before Van De Pas hinted at a comeback when he took the fourth set.

However, Dolan closed the match out in the fifth set to win 4-1.

He will now face Nathan Aspinall (Eng) in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
