Progress made on N4 Colloney to Castlebaldwin road

Significant progress has been made in relation to the N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin road project in Sligo.

The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross has confirmed that all advance works has now been completed and the land purchase is 90% finalised.

Sligo County Council is now in a position where it can receive tenders for the main construction project, however government approval is required first as it will cost in excess of €100m.

Director of Services with Sligo County Council, Tom Kilfeather, says the council will be ready to commence the project in early 2019.
