Donegal man elected as general secretary of INTO

A Donegal man has been elected as the new general secretary of the INTO.

John Boyle from Mullaghduff was one of three candidates nominated by INTO branches to contest the election which took place between November 26th and December 17th 2018.

It is anticipated that Mr Boyle will take up office as general secretary designate in March 2019 and will take over as general secretary in 2019.

One of the more recent high ranking members of the INTO from this area -who was president of the organisation from 2010 to 2011- was Jim Higgins from Culfadda who was principal of Ardkeeran NS.

Mr Boyle says pay inequality is an issue he will be focusing on when takes up the position in early next year.
