Psychiatric Nurses Association defer strike action

Members of Psychiatric Nurses Association from the North West have deferred the one day strike action by its ambulance personnel.

The strike was due to take place next Wednesday, December 19th but it has now been postponed until Tuesday, January 22nd.

Spokesperson for the PNA says there are two issues it wants to see urgently referred to the Work Place Relations Commission.

The association says the HSE is continuing to refuse to engage in negotiations with them regarding its ambulance members and also say it says the HSE will not negotiate a contingency plans for industrial action by the ambulance personnel.
