Sligo County Council is being urged to take action to improve safety on a stretch of road between Ballygawley and Ballintogher.
The section of road along the R290, runs from Ballygawley village to the turn-off for Castledargan Resort.
The stretch of road is the main thoroughfare to the village and is used by local residents, hotel guests and cyclists to access the village.
Fine Gael Local Area Representative and community activist, Thomas Walsh, says there are no footpaths or lighting on what he describes an ‘extremely dangerous’ corner.
