Election candidate claims lack of mobile coverage crippling rural Ireland

Calls are being made on the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and the Environment Richard Bruton to address the ongoing issues with mobile phone coverage in the North West.

Fianna Fáil General Election candidate Shane Ellis is calling on the Minister to establish if there is a plan in place to deal with the issue.

Recently plans have been launched by telecoms providers to launch a 5G; however, according to Shane Ellis when it comes to the counties of Leitrim, Sligo, Donegal and Roscommon, the lack of standard mobile phone coverage is still an ongoing issue.
