TD accuses insurance companies of ‘targetting’ elderly motorists with higher premiums



A Sligo/Leitrim TD is accusing insurance companies of targetting older motorists with rocketing premiums.

Fianna Fail Deputy Eamon Scanlon says the focus had been on the cost of insurance for young people but now he says it’s also a problem for older people.

He raised the issued yesterday in the Dail, where Taoiseach Leo Varadkar agreed there was a need for more competition.
