The Director of Services for Roads in Sligo says yesterday’s funding commitment for the N4 project will ensure it can now go to construction.
The Minister committed to money for the new Castlebaldwin to Collooney bypass which is at tender stage.
Director of Services Tom Kilfeather says the successful tenderer should be appointed by next month.
He says this week’s announcement means that construction on this more than €100m project for Sligo can start as planned early next year:
