Minister for Rural Affairs in Donegal today

Minister Michael Ring is in county Donegal today to announce more funding for rural projects.

Donegal Minister Joe McHugh has claimed that €17m has been secured through Minister Ring’s Rural Affairs Department for county Donegal alone in recent months.

Donegal Library is to undergo a €2.1million development and more than €200,000 is being spent on library services to enhance digital offerings and support people with intellectual difficulties and dementia.

The Minister made the headlines this week for insisting that rural Ireland was not dead but people were going to have to shop local if they want to maintain local services.
