People in the North West should brace for flooding later as rain warning extended



Met Eireann has extended it’s yellow rain warning to the North West counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal this afternoon.

Up to 40mm of rain is expected as Storn Helene moves in off the Atlantic.

The yellow rain warning has been extended from just Galway and Mayo to include Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim.

Forecaster with Met Eireann Pat Clarke told Ocean FM News this afternoon that people in the North West should be prepared for spot flooding in many areas later:
