The Caretaker of Sligo Cemetery, Brian Scanlon, has called for the closure of the cemetery at night-time and for reduced opening hours. It’s in response to the damage caused to a number of graves in recent days, which is being investigated by local Gardai. Sligo County Council has called it a ‘low and despicable act’
