Referees appointed for weekend FAI Cup games

The officials have been appointed for this weekend’s FAI Cup first round games across the League of Ireland.

Neil Doyle will be at the Showgrounds on Saturday to take charge of the game between Sligo Rovers and Longford Town at 7.45pm.

In team news for Harps, Keith Cowan will return after serving a one-match suspension while a decision will be made on the fitness of Nathan Boyle, Mark Timlin and John O’Flynn closer to kick-off.

Paddy McCourt and Adam Duffy remain on the injured list.

Donegal referee Paul McLaughlin takes charge of the game between Drogheda United and Shamrock Rovers at United Park on the same night.

And Michael Connolly will referee Sunday’s tie involving Ulster Senior League champions Cockhill Celtic and Premier Division side Limerick at Buncrana’s Charlie O’Donnell Sports Ground at 3pm on Sunday.
