Face to face talks, not solicitors, needed in Traveller dispute, says Council Chairman



The Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council has questioned the policy of solicitors negotiating a settlement to the occupation of the Connaughton Road car park by the McGinley traveller family. Welcoming the McGinley’s indication that they wish to move on from the site after 35 years, Cllr Martin Baker says face to face talks are now needed, not legal argument
