Bundoran RNLI responded to two instances on Sunday

Bundoran RNLI responded to two instances yesterday.

The volunteer crew responded to a call at 10am from the Irish Coast Guard where an angling boats propeller got caught in lobster pots, it was carrying two men who were brought to shore safely.

Later that afternoon, a three man crew lifeboat rescued a man who had taken ill off the coast of Mullaghmore, the Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 118 was also involved in the incident.

Bundoran RNLI’s Operation Manager, Tony McGowan says that people need to ‘respect the water’ and to always wear a life jacket, bring a means of communication and let someone know when you will be back.
