Enniscrone/Kilglass GAA Club Notes

Enniscrone/Kilglass GAA notes 22nd July 2018

Minor

There was major disappointment for the Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey minor team last Thursday evening when they were beaten by St Molaise Gaels at Quigabar in the first round of the championship by a point, 3-7 to 3-8. Leading by five points in the closing stages, the concession of two very poor goals late on resulted in the loss. Despite this disappointment, the lads will hope for improvement away to Ballymote/Bunninadden next Thursday at 7pm

U-16

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey U-16s got their championship campaign off to a winning start with a 7-17 to 2-7 defeat of Eastern Harps. They play Tourlestrane on Monday evening (July 23rd) at 7pm in Tourlestrane.

U-14

Our U-14s secured silverware on Friday evening last when they claimed the Division Two shield title with a 3-10 to 1-7 win over Coolaney/Mullinabreena at Scarden. 3-7 to 0-2 ahead at half-time, the lads did well in the second half against the wind to end as deserving winners. Well done to everyone involved on this success. The squad from Friday was: Finn Conway; Eoin Tuffy, Lorcan Gregory; Darragh Mulrooney, Matthew Foley, Ryan O’Donnell; Brian Duffy, Jordan Stevens; Tommy Quinn, Lee Devaney, Oisin Arthur; Oisin Finnerty, Pearse Sheridan. Subs: Neil Kelly, Aodhan Forde, Rory Harte.

U-12

Our U-12s have an important game at home on Tuesday when they play Curry in the Division Two semi-final at 7pm. Good luck to everyone involved.

Cúl Camps

The annual Cúl Camp takes place in Quigabar this week (July 23rd-28th). We hope everyone enjoys what is always a wonderful week, and that the weather co-operates!

Club lapel pins

There are a limited number of lapel pins showcasing the club crest – and importantly the correct spelling of Enniscrone as Gaeilge agus as Béarla – available at present. They are a quality item that would make a great present, and also show your support for the upcoming plebiscite on the town name. They are available from any committee member for €10.

Blotto

The blotto continues every Sunday night. Your support is greatly appreciated.
