A Donegal TD has called on the government to provide the investment in tourism that would lead to more successes like that of the recent Irish Open golf tournament in Ballyliffin.
Over 94,000 people attended the event over five days.
It also generated positive worldwide publicity not only for Ballyliffin but also for County Donegal and the north west.
Speaking in the Dail, Fianna Fail Deputy Charlie McConalogue says success like that involved many people.
