Residents in Pettigo urged to ‘run’ discoloured water



Residents in Pettigo in county Donegal are urged to run their water for a period of time before using it.

Restrictions are in place on the supply at night-time and now there are concerns that the water is brown when people turn on their taps.

Fianna Fail Councillor Mícheal Naughton has been speaking to Irish Water officials.

He says running the tap for a couple of minutes should sort the problem out.

He also told Ocean FM News at a meeting of the Donegal Municipal District today that work to upgrade the Ballydevitt supply in Donegal town has now been given the go ahead:
