Breastcheck has confirmed that the Sligo Rovers Football grounds will be its new location in Sligo town.
The mobile unit was supposed to be based at a pharmacy on the Pearse road but in recent days Breastcheck confirmed that due to unforeseen circumstances they had to change the location.
The health authority says while the change of location is unfortunate they remain positive that the second site offered to BreastCheck at Sligo Rovers is much more suitable.
Women have had to travel to Tubbercurry to avail of this service for the past few months and the new location in Sligo town was supposed to be up and running by June.
But it now looks like it will be the end of this month at the earliest before it will be up and running at the Sligo Rovers Football Grounds.
