Heat warning for farmers — and make sure livestock have enough water



Farmers are being warned to stay out of the mid day sun, watch out for their animals and ensure they conserve water as the dry spell continues.

Irish Water has issued a warning today calling for water conservation on farms by checking pipes, fixing dripping taps and hoses and harvesting rainwater from farm buildings for certain tasks like field irrigation.
