One of Irelands leading landscape artists has died.
Seán McSweeney, a native of Dublin but has lived in Sligo for more than 30 years, has passed away at the age of 82.
Born in 1935, Seán became a full time artist in 1967 after a very succesful exhibition where he left his then job as a clerical worker.
He was particularly known for his landscape paintings of the Sligo coastline.
