Ballyshannon National Emergency Operations Centre understaffed

SIPTU is calling on the National Ambulance Service to begin a recruitment drive for the National Emergency Operations Centre.

The centre operates in two places, one in Ballyshannon Co. Donegal with the other in Dublin.

SIPTU says they are understaffed by 35 operators and former agreements are not being honoured.

SIPTU Organiser, John McCamley, says the last time this happened it led to strike action.
