There were some excellent performances by Rosses Point and Drumcliffe competitors at the National Community Games finals in Limerick last weekend, with athletes taking home several medals across of a range of team and individual events, ranging to athletics, swimming, tag rugby, model making – not to mention Gold in the Quiz competition! Well done to all involved.

There was another good win for the boys U16 footballers in the league last Tuesday evening when they recorded a 5-18 to 3-4 win in Geevagh. The team now play Ballymote/Bunninadden on Monday evening in Oxfield at 7pm. A win there would secure a place in the league final.

There were mixed fortunes for our U14 football teams last week. The girls enjoyed a 6-8 to 3-7 win over St Molaise Gaels in Grange on Monday evening, while the boys were beaten by Coolera/Strandhill on Thursday by 10-5 to 4-9.
There was a huge turnout of players and supporters at Oxfield last Wednesday for the midweek U8 & U10 nursery football blitz with St Molaise Gaels. A very enjoyable evening was had by all. Benbulben Gaels U14 hurlers continue their Féile preparations this Thursday with an away match against Naomh Eoin in the league at 7pm. Well done to our U12 hurlers who recorded a win in the league last Monday.
