There is nowhere near enough money to deal with the demand for Housing Adaptation Grants in County Sligo.
The Council has confirmed that it’s only accepting Priority 1 applications despite an allocation of over €1.3m in funding.
Independent Councillor Michael Clarke says they would need at least €2m to deal with the demand in Sligo.
He says other counties have not been impacted as badly as Sligo on this issue:
