People in the North West can save time renewing their passports by applying online.
The Online Passport Application Service was launched last year by the government and has so far seen a large number of people avail of the service.
People can use the website any day of the week and at any time making it more convenient than travelling.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Fine Gael Senator Frank Feighan says a large number of people in the North West have already used the service.
