83 year old Eddie Fitzmaurice was beaten, gagged and tied up in a vicious assault at his home in Bellaghy in Co Sligo on the May Bank Holiday weekend in 1998. No-one has ever been charged with the murder, despite numerous Garda appeals and on the 20th anniversary of the incident, another appeal for information will be broadcast on RTE’s Crimecall this evening.
