A Sligo councillor says the €50m investment announced by An Post could save all local post offices for at least the next two years.
Sinn Fein’s Thomas Healy says An Post is now in a much stronger financial position than in previous years.
In Sligo, there has been concern over the future of post offices in Ballygawley and Easkey, as well as in Blacklion in County Cavan.
