The Gerry McGuire shop at Market Cross in Sligo Town has become the latest high profile business closure, following on from the likes of Tiger, Mr Simms and an announcement of closure by Next. Local businessman, Tommy Higgins, founder of the Ticketmaster empire, believes the Town simply has too much retail space for its population, but sees reasons to be postiive about the future of local retail outlets
