Bunninadden GAA Club Notes

Despite a brilliant early goal by Barry Cafferkey which saw his team open up a four point gap our Intermediate team succumbed to the overall  physical superiority and experience of a strong Calry St Josephs side on our home turf on Saturday evening last. Our cause wasn’t helped by the early departure of full forward V .Frizzell and despite some further points by the excellent Cafferkey our opponents led at the break, 9pts to 1-4. While the visitors dominated possession the youthful Bunninadden stuck to their task and were still in the game when awarded a penalty with 10 mins remaining but unfortunately young Cafferkey’s well struck penalty was saved by county ‘keeper Devaney. A late goal saw the visitors run out deserving if somewhat flattered winners on a scoreline of 2-16 to 1-8.
