A number of Donegal restaurants were among the winners at the Ulster regionals of the Irish restaurant awards this week.
The last of the four regional finals in this year’s Irish Restaurant Awards took place in Belfast on Wednesday night, where 135 awards were presented to the country’s leading chefs, restaurants and pubs.
Over 400 people attended and the awards covered a wide range of venues.
There were a number of winners from Co Donegal; including Simple Simons, Chandpur, Quaywest, The Forge Bar and Solis Lough Eske.
Harveys Point won Hotel resturant of the year, and General Manager Noel Cunningham says the amount of awards coming to Donegal shows that the Northwest is now becoming a food destination…..
