Easter Gaelic Football Camp

Its Camp Time !!!! Calling all children in the Carraroe and St Annes Areas including students in St Enda’s Carraroe, Mercy Primary and St Johns National Schools. Our Annual 3 day Easter Camp takes place from Tues 3rd to Thurs 5th April in Stenson Park, Cuilbeg from 10am to 1pm each day. Ages 6 to 14 ( ie born from 2004 – 2012) Register on the first morning Tues 3rd at 9.30am.             Bring ; Lunch, playing Gear, Warm Clothes, Gloves Football with name marked on it.  St Johns Lotto Draw

In the last draw in The Clubhouse on March 31st the Lotto Jackpot which stands at E11,900 was not won. The numbers drawn were 6, 11, 20and 23. The winners of the E25 consolation prizes were Noreen Leonard, Carraroe; T O’Brien, C/O Cannings House and Garden; Eileen Rooney, Aughamore and Elaine Flynn, Ballina. The next draw will take place on Sat April 14th @ 8pm in The Club Room, Cuilbeg. Lotto tickets can be purchased from Cannings, Cornageeha; Clifford Electrical, Carraroe; The Blue Lagoon, Riverside; Mc Morrow’s Shop, Cairns Rd.; Crozon Inn; Molly Fultons, Carraroe.

Minor Football

Our minor team were defeated by Calry- St Josephs in Hazelwood last Thursday evening

Under 16 Football

Our U16 team travelled to Grange last Tuesday evening where they were well beaten by the local St Molaise Gaels side.

Under 14 Football

Our Under 14 boys team begin their League campaign on Thurs 12th when they travel to play Geevagh-St Michaels in Geevagh with a throw-in time of 6.30

Under 12 Football

Our Under 12 Div 1 and Div 3 Boys begin their season on Tues April 3rd when St Molaise Gaels come to Stenson Park with the throw-in for both game set for 6.00.

Senior Football

Our Skoda-Burns Garage-Sponsored Senior team, began their Div 2 League campaign against Geevagh last Sat evening in Stenson Park, Cuilbeg and unfortunately they suffered defeat to a spirited visiting team on a 2-14 to 2-9 scoreline. Geevagh were quick into their stride and led by 1-4 before our lads opened their account. By half time St Johns had reduced the deficit to a single point 1-6 to 1-5 with Charlie Harrison scoring our goal. The second half did not bring much improvement for our side and a goal from David Rooney did not come until the end of the half leaving Geevagh winners by a 5 points margin. St Johns lined out as J Mc Govern; A Clerkin, D Burke, E Roche; P Murphy, N Hayes, R Fahy; J Murphy, P Mc Namara; S Stenson, D Rooney(2-3), D Smith; A Keane(0-3), F Grennan(0-3), C Harrison(1-0) Subs used S Kilcawley, C Jordan,  The Div 2 League continues next weekend with an away game against Enniscrone-Kilglass in Quigabar  on Sunday 8th with a 1.00 throw-in time
