Rovers at full-strength for trip to Tallaght

Sligo Rovers travel to Dublin on Friday to take on Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght Stadium in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.

The Bit O’ Red face their third away match of the season after a win and draw so far.

Last Saturday’s defeat to Dundalk continued a disappointing run at home, but Rovers once again showed good promise and missed many chances to take something from the game.

In team news, there are no injuries or suspensions.

Manager Gerard Lyttle said: “We all came out of the Dundalk game frustrated. We took on arguably the favourite to win the league, created chances, restricted them and very basic mistakes in crucial areas cost us. I believe in terms of our performances we are going in the right direction. It’s not saying it for the sake of it, we are good enough to win these games.

“It’s a mental thing for the mistakes we are making. This is a really good group, the lads are working hard and training well. We’re looking forward to going to Tallaght. I think they were very unlucky against Waterford and they are a top team.

“We’ve done our homework on them. We know it’ll be difficult but in our team we have pace, we have goalscorers, we’ll create chances. I think the big pitch, and a good one, will suit us. We have to improve on our concentration levels and take the goal-scoring opportunities that we make. I believe we can do so and come away with a result.”
