Drumcliffe/Rosses Point GAA Club Notes

Senior Footballers
The senior men’s footballers opened their Kiernan Cup campaign last Saturday with an encouraging 2-15 to 1-14 win over Coolera/Strandhill in Scarden. Attention now turns to the start of the Furey’s Coaches senior football league Division 1 when we host Coolaney/Mullinabreena on Saturday evening at 6pm.

Ladies Team

Our ladies intermediate footballers were beaten in the Spring League last Sunday morning in Oxfield by a physically stronger and more experienced St Nathy’s side on a final scoreline of 5-15 to 3-4.

Under 16s
The boys U16 footballers began their league campaign with an impressive 3-18 to 1-3 success over Tourlestrane at Oxfield on Saturday morning. Next up is St Mary’s at Kent Park, Ballydoogan this Tuesday evening. Throw-in: 6pm.

Under 14s
Our U14 boys opened their season with a challenge match away to Melvin Gaels last Sunday. Despite it being very early in the season, the quality of football from both sides was very high.  Thanks again to Niall and all at Melvin Gaels for hosting the game. The U14s open their Division 1 league campaign with a home game against St Molaise Gaels this Friday evening at 6pm.
