The funeral takes place today of the six year old girl from Navan who died from meningitis last week. It has brought back painful memories for the family of the McDaid family from Castlefin in Donegal, who lost their son, Oran, to meningitis, on the day before his 2nd birthday. His mother, Lisa, who’s a nurse, has urged parents to be vigilant about the ‘no mercy disease’
