Casserly: Money to made available for flood-prevention work at Sligo estate



A Sligo independent councillor is insisting that money will be made available in the coming weeks to deal with ongoing flooding problems in a Sligo town housing estate.

The Woodlands estate in Ballytivnan was hit by flooding again in January.

Residents have been calling for flood defences to be put in for the last few years to prevent this scale of flooding happening again.

Independent Alliance Councillor Marie Casserly says she’s confident that money will be made available from the Department of her party colleague Shane Ross soon:
