FAI postponed all weekend matches in the League of Ireland

Sligo Rovers’ weekend trip to Dublin in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division has now been postponed because of the heavy snow in the east of the country.

Rovers were due to travel to Richmond Park on Friday to face St Patrick’s Athletic in their first away game of the season.

But the FAI have confirmed that all ten games scheduled for this weekend have now been called off.

The game will instead take place on Monday, March 19, at 7.45pm.

Finn Harps’ First Division game at home to Longford Town has also been postponed but the details for the re-fixture have not yet been confirmed.

It means that Harps’ first two games of the season have been postponed, after last weekend’s trip to Drogheda United was called off because of inadequate flood-lighting in United Park.
