Around 300 people signed a petition last night in support of having the town of Enniscrone spelt on all signage as ‘Enniscrone’.
There are currently two spellings ‘Inishcrone’ and ‘Enniscrone’ and there were two petitions last night for people to chose the spelling they want to see on signs in the region.
Local solicitor Sinead Durkan is one of those heading this campaign.
She says everyone at the meeting last night supported just one version of the spelling:
