Mountcharles bypass an example of ‘rehashed’ government plans



Donegal County Council has appointed new contractors to carry out work on the new Mountcharles to Inver bypass.

But the project is an example of one that has been ‘rehashed’ in the government’s Ireland 2040 plan.

The bypass is mentioned as a project to be finished in the next 10 years but plans are well underway with Mayo contractors set to start work soon.

The N4 action action group hit out at the Collooney to Castlebaldwin bypass as another project in the plan that’s already been announced.
