McKenna Cup final moved to Armagh

This Saturday’s Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup final between Donegal and Tyrone has been switched to the Athletic Grounds in Armagh.

The game had been scheduled for Celtic Park in Derry, but the rescheduling of the Allianz League Division Three tie between Derry and Offaly for this Sunday, has forced the Ulster Council into a change.

Enniskillen’s Brewster Park, Monaghan’s Inniskeen and Cavan’s Kingspan Breffni Park also host games on Sunday, so were not options, while St Tiernach’s Park in Clones and Corrigan Park in Belfast are not floodlit.

That left just the Athletic Grounds and Páirc Esler in Newry as options for the final, and the Ulster Council have opted for Armagh.

Throw-in on Saturday remains at 6pm.
