Over 200 turnout for Easkey Post Office public meeting



Over 200 people turned out at a public meeting in Easkey last night in opposition to the proposed closure of the Post Office there.

The postmaster in west Sligo will retire next month and the local community will have to make a case to An Post to ensure it remains open.

In the past 25 years, close to 800 post offices have been shut down across the country.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, the PRO of Save Easkey Post Office, Richard Morrisey, said he is sure other businesses will close if the Post Office does:
