Concern over a rare snail leads to collapse of Sligo water supply, claims Clr



13,000 householders in South and West Sligo have been affected by a boil water notice, as a result of the discovery of cryptosporidium in the Lough Talt Water Supply. Questions are now being asked to how this could have happened, and local Councillor Margaret Gormley claims that desired to preserve a rare snail species has caused the problem
