Donegal roads money ‘falls short of what’s needed’, says Pat the Cope



A Donegal TD says the roads allocation to the county announced yesterday ‘falls far short’ of expectations and needs.

Transport Minister Shane Ross has confirmed grants of €33m for regional and county roads in Donegal this year.

However, Fianna Fail Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher claims about €10m of that has already been committed for fixing damage caused by severe weather.

And he says work on bridges such as Fintra and Tir Conail in Donegal Town will not be starting as soon as people think:
